In order to determine the ethnoracial identity of a person, the specific features of dentomaxillar system of the Armenian population of the Republic of Armenia were researched. A combined research was conducted, which included clinical, morphometric and X-ray examinations and statistical analysis. The collected data were compared with the data of other ethnoracial groups, which inhabit the Northern Caucasus (Laks, Avars, Dargins) and with the Russian population as well. The conducted research can be used in order to determine the ethnic identity of a person. 

The article highlights the problem of forensic examination of the heaviness of the non-life threatening local traumas of the locomotor apparatus of the extremities, pelvisand lumber-thoracic region of spine. The variants of the outcomes are analyzed on the facts of the stated traumas. The analysis is performed according to the influence of medical aid in the supreme range of the manner of its providing. Both on the facts of its proper providing and its absence. The statistic processing of the groupings of the selected observations is performed. The results of the investigations have become the basis for the objective possibility of the expert examination of the heaviness of the stated traumas, despite of the medical aid’s influence. 

The paper presents the results of an empirical study on the effects of the rotation of a bullet on its axis on the formation of an entry gunshot wound. 

This article is about deals with evaluation of health injury’s severity in cases with mental disorders. Definiton «mental disorder» in context of criminal code and medical criteria of severity of bodies injuries. Main criteria of evaluation are temporary and permanent maladjustment. 

In article the history of division of forensic medicine of the Siberian state medical university from the moment of the basis till now is stated. Significant events in a life of division are covered, the brief biography of the persons who have brought in the greatest contribution to development of forensic medicine due to which the division has got honour and respect in medicolegal community is given. 

The article is devoted to the 100 anniversary from the birthday of a prominent figure in forensic medicine, Professor, doctor of medical Sciences, a military doctor, a Colonel of medical service Alexey Romanovich Denkovskogo. Shows the main directions of its scientific, practical, pedagogical work and social activities. 

In the review of PhD. V.V. Khokhlov on the book «Expert errors in the forensic medical examination of a corpse» (authors PhD. V.A. Klevno, PhD. A.V. Maksimov) there is a positive evaluation characteristic of the contents of the publication and recommendations to doctors - forensic medical experts to use scientifically practical manual in order to avoid mistakes in forensic medical examination of corpses and execution of forensic medical documents. 

Scientific-practical conference “Toxic effects of alcohol: clinical and pathomorphological aspects; forensically-medical evaluation” was held on 25 October, 2017 in Moscow.
